How could I have not been aware until now of the Monkey Punch Dinosaur blog?

Posted: 23 Jun 2008 10:50 AM CDT

Yes, a blog devoted to illustrations of monkeys punching dinosaurs. The selections you see above are by Marcus Parcus and Paul Oslo Davis.

I've been trying to come up with a contest for my site - - an art contest would be good. But what combination? Robot punching octopus, perhaps?

Here's the gift bags the vips got:
After an even quicker bus ride back to Silverlake, all of the VIP's were given a gift bag – filled with the latest Swindle issue featuring a story on Amanda, Amanda's stationery from Dark Horse, a Poopicorn Brigade print (1/100), a mini replica of the show logo bomb (hand-painted clock face), as well as a Boosted Backpack and cell phone case.

Many more photos at Vinyl Pulse. And here's Visell's official site.

Gaudi's Church of La Sagrada Familia...as a sand castle

Part of the "Childhood Renaissance 4" photoshop contest at Worth 1000.

I once gave a presentation on the "Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família" for Spanish class. I more or less did my research/preparation over the lunch break before class and then proceeded to tell the class about how Mr. Sagrada and his family were Gaudi's financial supporters. My teacher interrupted to explain that this was not exactly correct.

It's called the "Jura-Capresso Impressa F9 Fully Automatic Coffee and Espresso Center" and it can apparently be hacked over the internet. Truly this is an age of wonders (and moronic technology). Via.

A DeviantArt user photographed some adorable cheescake she was served in Buenos Aires. Her comment cracks me up: "This cake is already in my stomach... RIP kawaii cheesecake."
