Best Coast is apparently playing some shows in Australia because ppl in the USA are tired of her and she doesn't really have anything new 2 add to relevant discussions on the internet except 'Look at me, yall!' Sorta wonder if we can get the State of California to deny her re-entry into our country, and we can force her to stay in Australia, and it can become a place where we send irrelevant buzzbands after they die, sorta like how the UK sent all of the convicts there.

Maybe if we do that, we'll see some positive effects on the music scene in like 1 or 2 generations.

Anyways, she was photographed with a koala (and a bitter ginger zookeeper who is all like 'who is this effing American?'). Predictably, the indie rumor mills have already started being like "What about Snacks?" and "Will Snacks be replaced?" and every other predictable headline that most blogs make today just to get Snacks the Cat headlines. I am somewhat concerned about Snacks, since we are pretty good friends. But at the end of the day, Snacks might be leaving, whether or not Bethany brings a koala home from tour. U gotta realize that Snacks can do his own thing, and he is not tied down to any one owner. At the end of the day, Snacks is gonna be Snacks.

Viva Radio is the radio station that American Apparel made up so that they would have something kewl, fun, and unique to play while u r shopping at their store. Chaz Bundick of Toro Y Moi played on their show and he was interviewed. In the above video, u hear his hit single "Still Sound" playing with his band of altbros.

Ariel Pink is known as a lofi God who is going mainstream in the world of indie... but sometimes you wonder if his fashion sense is going 2 hurt him or help him. While he does seem totally beyond alt... U gotta wonder if he can win over the tween markets dressing like this...

The Knife wrote one really good album a long time ago, but then the broad in the band launched a spinoff solo project that is 'okay', but at the same time, may or may not be overrated. She must be hard up 4 cash because she wrote some song for the soundtrack to "Little Red Riding Hood."

It's sorta the same cheesy modern tween drama formula. Take an existing concept. Make it 'dark' so it is taken seriously. Enlist indie bands to score the soundtrack so that the film 'gets authentic buzz' and people think they are supposed to take it seriously because there is indie music in the background.

Ryan Gosling is an indie actor who is also trying to 'make it' as an indie musician, winning the respect of the blogosphere and having a fruitful, Arcade-Fire-esque career where his music is valued based on its artistic merit, not because he is a famous actor and people like what he does because he is handsome. Steve Aoki is about to be an uncle because his sister "Devon Aoki" is pregnant. U have to wonder if becoming an uncle will change Steve's vibe/lifestyle bc he will try to be a good role model for the baby. In the above photograph, you can see a 'baby bump' as she is escorted by some bro dude.

It's official: the Subway sandwich chain has surpassed McDonald's Corp. as the world's largest restaurant chain, in terms of units.

At the end of last year, Subway had 33,749 restaurants worldwide, compared to McDonald's 32,737. The burger giant disclosed its year-end store count in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing late last month.

The race for global dominance is an important one for an industry that's mostly saturated in the U.S. High unemployment and economic uncertainty have battered the restaurant industry in the U.S., and chains are increasingly looking overseas for growth, particularly in Asia.

One time I tried to listen to the Smith Westerns because some1 told me that they were good, but I got kinda bored and stopped the MP3 after about 10 seconds and have no desire to ever blog about them due to their artistic of fuzzy buzzy achievements. Anyways, I guess this blipster wearing a customized Smithson Western bra 'finally got our attention.'
