Jessica Alba is a mainstream celeb who has a 'sweet ass body' and has a lil bit of ethnic flair to her. I think people considered her 'hot' back when she was 18-22, but now she is older and and there are younger people to 'pleasure urself while thinking abt' so her 'fame' [via sex appeal] has sort of died off because no1 wants to think abt some1 who has popped kids out of their womb.

Anyways it seems like Jessica Alba tweeted about Washed Out, specifically the chillwave sensation's hit Life of Leisure EP. She was probably vibing super hard, and was like 'I'm just gonna throw down a tweet so mainstreamers who are in2 me start to get in2 indie music.'

The Kings of Leon released a bro-wave new album, and it seems like they are 'taking no prisoners' as they take down all of the weak ass indie competition. They are basically pulling down their pants, and exposing their peens, saying 'How do u like this shit, u shittie indie hipster buzzbands?' [link]

Just read this quote from the latest issue of SPIN Maggy where the drumer bro "Nathan Followill" seem to 'slam' the Arcade Fire for being inauthentic:

"Now it's cool to have 14 people in your band doing everything but contributing musically, running around with a helmet on your head, hitting it with a drumstick. You gotta look at what you're in this for: the love of music? The fame? You can have all that if you're smart and play your cards right and don't become a dick."

I guess he didn't name a specific band, but I went ahead and did some research on google for 'bands that wear helmets and have a bro hitting it with a drum stick.' The Ginger Bro from the Arcade Fire popped up.

Every now and then, 2 bands will 'collab' on stage just to produce a bloggable meme that every1 has to blog because there is so much brand synergy that u can't 'pass it up', u have to let ur readers know that it was a meaningful experience, and if ur life was meaningful, u would have been there 2 experience it. Just read a bunch of blogs 'flipping their shit' abt Daft Punk joining Phoenix on stage. Watched like 10 minutes of shaky youtube clips trying to ascertain whether or not this was amazing/bloggable, but decided to go ahead and post it so u can have the same empty feeling inside as me.

Check out these entry levelers 'flipping their shit.' H8 collabs of bands on stage where they are clearly just trying to 'meme' and don't really ever unify their sound.

I remember back in the day, before Phoenix was mainstream and Daft Punk wasn't rlly a universal brand, I probably woulda vibed to this. Maybe in like 2k4. But c'mon. It's 2k10. Not gonna get excited about this entry-level mainstream collab going down at Madison Square Garden.

Sufjan Stevens' album "The Age of Adz" was received with mixed reviews because he didn't stick to his folk formula. A lot of ppl tried to say that it was good, but most ppl were like 'Cmon brah--let's hear some banjo and symphony sounding shit.'

Anyways, it looks like he still 'went mnstrm' and ended up at #7 on the Billboard charts, which are a mainstream set of charts that mainstream ppl usually win. Sufjy sold 36k album sales (most of which were probably $3.99 amazon discount sales [via indie price down strategy]. Totes got his 'ass whooped' by Lil Wayne who sold 118k albums.

Feel like Sufjan should be 'mildly proud', but should see this as a missed opportunity. If he had 'killed it' and wrote the album that every1 wanted him to write, bro woulda been on mainstream radio, rockin and rolling, but instead he just released this bleepy bloopy thing that is going to fall off the charts mad hard.
