Sufjan Stevens releases another terrible new MP3, continues to let fans+blogosphere down

has some new album coming out called “The Age of Adz.” A lot of people were ‘mad jacked’ about it, thinking it would sound like his best folkwave songs. Then he announced that it would be an ‘electronic’ album. Then he released a song that was terrible, and tons of blogs compared it to Owl City [link]. Now he released another MP3 that seems like a ‘big letdown.’

So fascinating how trends travel from America/Europe/Japan, and quickly spread into Mexico/South America. I never thought that screamo autotune would ‘catch on’ and tons of young bands would start screamo autotune sound projects. I remember ‘emo’ used to be big in Mexico, so maybe it is a natural evolution that post-emo screamo post-hardcore bands are ‘catching on.’ They just want to express their pain, and explore dark themes involving gore, death, loss, horrorcore, and La Dia De Los Muertos.

might be my favourite international / Mexiwave / Tejano band. The bro dudes really rock, bringing hard rock emo guitars, chillwave synths, autotune singing, screaming, and thrash ass bang bang drumming.

Who is yalls fave member? Mine might be Javier, because his ‘clean vocals’ really take the band 2 the next level.’ Clean vocals are really the ‘make or break’ element of screamo autotune. U need to have a twinky looking bro with swoopy bangs who can ‘really nail it.’

I remember when Brokencyde came out, and autotune screamo became a meme that the whole internet could laugh at [link]. Really felt like Mexicalts/Altino had finally created a product that had truly ‘belonged to them.’  Feel happy to be witnessing the birth of a new band/screamo meme band with a terrible, cheesy video that involves an ambulance, fake blood, and Am Appy hoodies.

Do yall know n e 1 who drives an ambulance that I can borrow for my music video? Seems like these bros are pretty authentic alts.

Really wonder if Brokencyde are the authentic forefathers of ‘crunk crabcore screamo autotune’. Are they ‘the same’ as this new band, or are they more about ‘partying’ + ‘getting crunk’?

Should Am Appy ‘move out of the USA’ and rebrand to Mexican Apparel, or maybe Mexican Merchandise [via consonance/alliteration] if they want to stay in business? Seems like there are huge markets to exploit there.

Just want to become one of the most influential crabcore bands in Mexican history. Want to travel to the Third World, show them crabcore, and create crabcore clinics where young, at-risk kids can learn how to express their pain+societal status frustration with the healing power of crabcore / autotune screamo.

Just wanna move 2 Mexico, start a chillwave band. Feel like it might be easier to break into international markets, ripping off sounds that already exist in the English-speaking indie scene.

Sony Walkman ‘outsells’ iPods in Japan, AZNs stay brand loyal 2 Sony, h8 Apple

I have always wanted to move to Japan, because I feel like I can be a true alternative spirit, eating healthy fish-based meals, playing video games, and becoming an authentic tech gadget early adopter with the rest of my country. Might even get a digipet/gigapet since there isn’t really space to raise a real animal.

Anyways, the ‘news’ came out that Japan is so alt that they buy more Sony Walkman than iPods. Maybe Japan still has ‘national pride’ and h8s America since we nuked them during WWXX. Not sure if they want to support Apple, even though Apple designs ‘sweet ass products.’ Just staying brand loyal to Sony.

In a rare victory for Sony over arch-rival Apple, the Walkman portable music player outsold the iPod in Japan in monthly sales for the first time in August, a survey showed Thursday.

Sony’s share of the Japanese market for portable music players stood at 47.8 percent last month, ahead of Apple which had 44.0 percent, according to the Tokyo-based marketing research company BCN Inc.

Sony has faced stiff competition in recent years from the huge popularity of the iPod and other products that rival its own, such as Nintendo’s Wii video game system that has challenged Sony’s PlayStation console.

Weezer sells ‘naming rights’ to their album, rights acquired by popular alt sk8r brand HURLEY

From what I understand, Weezer is all about being a band in the modern world, so they are down 2 make money ‘however the fuck they can.’ It seems like they entered into a partnership with the popular alt lifestyle clothing brand HURLEY. They named their new album “Hurley” but promised to release a limited edition clothing line with the brand. The clothes will only be sold at ur local PACSUN. Not sure who shops at PACSUN, but probably tweens, and cool dads who are ‘trying 2 be young forever.’

As mentioned, PacSun and Hurley (the clothing company) are teaming up to sell Hurley (the Weezer album) ahead of its September 13 release. According to PacSun, you and your best friends can buy the album inside PacSun starting this Friday. Also on sale? Limited edition Weezer clothing, as part of their partnership with Hurley (the clothing company).

Wonder if Am Appy shoulda ‘thrown big bucks’ at Weezer to save their company. Should I name my next album “American Apparel”, “American Eagle”, or “Forever and Ever, 21″?
