Stuff White People Like Blogger goes on Mexi George Lopez’s Talk Show

Posted: 19 Feb 2010 12:22 PM PST

The popular internet viral cultural commentary weblog “Stuff White People Like” went viral more than one hundred blog years ago. The author / blogger Christian Lander was recently on the Late Night Talk Show “” on cable channel TBS. The show was recently invented in order to appeal to Latinos, Chicanos, Hispanics, and miscellaneous minorities who miss the raw, edgy, whoopi vibe of the Arsenio Hall Show.

The interaction between George Lopez and White Ppl bro is sorta like a Mexi from Mexico or another part of the Brown World who has never encountered a white person or a zany snark blog b4. He must explain white people, and miscellaneous events on the internet, like ‘blogs’, ‘commenting’, and ‘angry, anonymous people.’ It seems like the blogger is branded as some sort of ‘cultural prophet’ even though he must dumb down, and sensationalize his ideas to appeal to the Middle Mexican American fan who was most likely watching this show. We are unsure if George Lopez will ’steal some of his bits’ to utilize in upcoming HBO comedy specials.

As you can see, the logo seems ‘fiery’, like some sort of salsa bottle, or something else as equally spicy and Latino.

If u r a Mexi, do u identify with George Lopez?

Did yall ever read the popular blog/book ‘Stuff White People Like’?
Is it ‘funny’ or ‘mainstream predictable funny’?
Will u start a high level cultural commentary blog that wins mass acclaim 1 day?
Would u rather be a famous author or a famesies blogger?

TBS: very funny [via Family Guy, Office and Sex+thecity reruns]?

Will TBS win the entire Mexi audience who doesn’t like white ppl who host Late Night Talk Shows?
Is George Lopez the Mexican Barrack Obama/Jerry Seinfeld?

LA electro party promoter dbags ‘brag hard’ on their scene/party

Posted: 19 Feb 2010 09:27 AM PST

This video was created as some sort of ‘commercial’ for an based party called HEIST. It seems like they wanted to give the video some sort of documentary vibe, and interviewed some of the key figures in the electro community who are involved in ‘throwing’ the party.

It seems like the video is supposed to be ‘glorifying’ the social status of the party, repeatedly using the term ‘take over’ in regards to their local ’scene.’ In addition, one bro claims that they ‘run Hollywood’ on Thursday nights.  As the video evolves, they anticipate that they will build a global brand, with parties in Miami and New York City.

We cannot confirm that this Thursday night party is fun or authentic, but the video makes it seem like a place where the youth can go to ‘escape’ from societal norms in the LA area. From what I understand, many party brands attempt to appeal to Hispanic tweens and teens who recently graduated from high school but are still deciding what they want to do with their lives’ besides getting pokemon haircuts and taking pix on myspace.

We cannot confirm that this is an 18+ party that loosely allows under aged kids to drink so they can cultivate a more meaningful experience.

We can only assume that eventually the party will ‘make a lot of money’ but then one of the friends who started the venture will feel like he is not getting his fair share of the cut, then start a rival party.

Have yall been to this party?
Do u wish u lived in California where there are electro dance weekly parties?
Do yall miss classic party promoters from 2k7?
What type of electro music is still relevant?
Is the HARD brand a more authentic brand in the LA area?

Japanese Figure Skater wears keffiyeh at Olympics

Posted: 19 Feb 2010 08:48 AM PST

Popular Japanese Figure Skater Daisuke Takahashi had a keffiyeh integrated into his cute little costume for his Olympic Contest. We cannot confirm if he is ‘alt’ or if this was actually an anti-Israeli message, showing support for the 1972 massacre of members of the Israeli Summer Olympic Team at the Munich Olympics. Based on his Japanese heritage, we find it safe to assume that he was

Do u think this was a real ‘hipster scarf’ or a politically motivated message? Is he ‘just a harmless queen on ice’?

We can only assume that his Palestinian scarf gave him the warrior power that won him the bronze medal.

We cannot confirm that his checker shirt was created from a table cloth at a local diner.
