The hot Stormtrooper couple read my blog!

I'm sure by now you've seen photos of redandjonny, the hot Stormtrooper couple. But I just learned that they're fans of my site, so I have to give them a shout out. Here's some stuff you might not have already seen:

Red's Intel commercial

Jonny's Intel commercial

And both on the NBC's Today Show, sans helmets. Pretty cool to get on NBC with the caption "Brent Stutsman, Stormtrooper."

Hawk Nelson - - cool album art, moronic marketing

Posted: 21 Jun 2008 02:19 PM CDT

I was wandering through Target, trying to beat the heat (88 degrees at 9 this morning), and spotted this album called Hawk Nelson Is My Friend. I tried to find out who the artist is, but Hawk Nelson's site has very little information other than tour dates. They have a web store, complete with posters, but nothing, other than a "Digital Download Dropcard" uses the artwork. (Why in the world would someone use the web to buy a gift card to be used for a digital download? For the pleasure of paying a shipping fee, perhaps?) I also checked out a Hawk Nelson music video to see if it uses the same aesthetic, but they've disabled Youtube's embedding function. Clever move guys, wouldn't want bloggers spreading the word about your music. So anyway, you can buy the album at Amazon.

Back to the start of my story, how can Target afford to devote so much floorspace to cds?

Duck Hunt Dog (with duck) papercraft

One of the latest downloadable designs at Cubecraft. (I presume everyone familiar with that smug dog desperately wanted to shoot him more than the ducks?)
